Culture Day at the Museum

Students and staff had a great time visiting the Museum at Wurrumiyanga for Tiwi Friday Culture Day.

- The talk from the Museum supervisor Fiona Kerinaiua was undertaken in Tiwi Language, spoken to the students and Tiwi College staff.

- Tiwi language and understanding of Tiwi Kinship were key themes in the talk.

- Students were asked to identify their Tiwi skin group and their Murrakupuni (land), and to respect all people.

- Students were encouraged to understand and practice their culture more.

- Students asked some questions during and were attentive for the delivery.
